What does it mean to be made whole?
We read about it in the scriptures, but what does it mean?
There were ten lepers who were healed, but only one turned around to give thanks to Jesus for His mercy.
The nine fled to the city to show themselves unto the priest so that they could return to their normal lives.
All ten were free from leprosy, but only one was made whole.
From this we learn that faith is strengthen and blessing imparted because of our obedience, but more importantly, we learn that thankfulness to the giver allows us to access something even greater; forgiveness.
The one who turned around was not only blessed with a physical healing, but also a spiritual one.
He was made whole, meaning he was healed from sin.
He was forgiven.
Who received the greater blessing?
The one who turned back.
The one who recognized the miracle and instead of running away with joy, turned back towards the ultimate source of it, even Jesus Christ.
All came to be healed, but only one would walk away with a changed heart.
For the closer the individual is to the Savior, the more grateful they are.
When we repent and rejoice in the goodness and greatness of God, our hearts change.
We not only retain a remission of our sins, but we also draw closer to the Savior.
